Single, attractive, and smart with a good sense of humor, and who appreciates the finer things in life...some of which money cannot buy. Family and friends are very important to me so I would like to meet someone who has children or grandchildren.
I am definitely a "people" person. While you will definitely know my opinion if asked (or maybe even if you don't ask), I enjoy listening to others talk about their lives, the way they feel about things, whether it be a client or a taxi driver! And, yes, I am one of those people that if I see a homeless woman, I will put a $20 in her cup.
I am still a hopeless romantic. I'd like to find someone who makes me laugh, excites me, and shares some of the same values.
I enjoy music (blues, soul, classical etc), yoga, the ballet, hiking, my boxer dogs, the beautiful flowers in my garden, trying new restaurants, the beach (I was brought up at the NJ shore), watching beautiful sunsets, and sports wise, the Redskins and the Nationals among other things. I love to travel and hope to go to Hawaii and New Zealand at the end of the year.
I've spent time researching my family history/genealogy and believe it is very important to remember the sacrifices our parents/grandparents made to give us a good life...but more on that later!
Almost forgot, I recently joined a bowling league sponsored by the local JCC. We bowl with teams of developmentally challenged adults. Our team, the Bowling Stones, have been number 1 for the last several weeks. It must have something to do with my high handicap!
Now for the answers to the usual DC questions. I've lived in DC for a while, long enough to have had two careers....I am now an energy consultant specializing in sustainability, green buildings and products. While the east coast has always been my home, I wouldn't mind relocating -- Colorado, California, or the Northwest.
Enough about me....So, let me know a little about you.
