On one hand it feels like "about me" is what you look forward to finding out if we go out on a date. On the other, you have no idea of who I am, what I stand for, and how can I expect you to want to get to know me unless I give an introduction to those things. Here it goes: I recently moved from Central New York to the Seattle area (but I grew up in Northern California and graduated from high school in North Carolina). Though I had a job (salary, benefits, security, etc.) in Syracuse, I really wasn't happy and was ready for a change. A big change. I feel like I made a great decision for myself, and this leap of faith has already been incredibly positive. Washington is a beautiful state and I am truly enjoying my new job (related to what I did before in its aspect of social justice, but working with a different population, and in a very different setting), and I love living closer to my family. I'm always up for an adventure (moving across the country would have been significantly more difficult if that weren't truthful), and I have a passion for enjoying each day.
