About Me

i'm looking for a stable, long-term relationship with someone who is loyal, reliable, and secure - is that you? And on that note here goes....I'm progressive and modern with traditional values. When I travel, I truly travel, and when I vacation, I can be a beach bum with the best of them. I’m very active – I don’t spend much time watching TV or on the computer, tho I do enjoy the occasional rental from Netflix. I currently work with special needs kids and young adults. I've taught after-school programs for local kids on Maui and I've volunteered for Habitat for Humanity. I loved working at U.H./Maui campus as a sign language interpreter. The first thing people notice about me is my energy level and sense of humor - I'm quirky, compassionate and always up for an adventure! I am a people person who easily engages with everyone I meet. I truly enjoy going to the movies, and I will see anything from Action/Adevnture films to the lastest Bollywood production, and everything in between. I'm an avid gardener, and I like the feel of dirt under my nails. Fairchild Garden, in Miami, is my absolute favorite - I swoon every time I visit. I'm a keen reader, and I prefer novels that I can really sink my teeth into. I am all about dogs! I live with my "dog-ter" Ivy, a beautiful 6 year old black Labradoodle who has worked as a therapy/service dog. Ivy and I enjoy boogieboarding (only in warm water), long walks, and hanging out at the local coffeeshop. Food, to me, is most enjoyable as a shared experience, whether between two people or twenty. I love going out to eat and I'm fond of trying new restaurants. I'm a social person and I like having spontaneous dinner parties. I'm also really good at take-out. I'm looking to meet someone who gets out there and lives, who will always be too young to “retire”, and who prefers actual conversation to texting.
