About Me

I'm looking for someone with a great sense of humor who is also intelligent, kind, with some bad boy thrown in for good measure. I love to laugh and can keep up with the best of them in stimulating conversations and the give and take that goes along with it. I can think on my feet. My head is full of useless facts. My son thinks I should audition for Jeopardy. I enjoy discussing current events, art, history, cooking, traveling or whatever subject comes up. I have many interests, some of which are cooking, traveling, reading, art, good movies, and taking long walks listening to my Ipod. I enjoy most genres of music. I can change a light bulb and check my own oil. I've painted houses inside and out and refinished furniture. I'm not high maintenance. My mother tells me I should do more things for myself, but would rather help others instead. I'm not a smoker or a drinker. Just don't like the taste of alcohol. As a Navy Vet, I had the opportunity to live in and visit many places in the U.S. and overseas. I'm originally from Boston, and spent 3 years in Pensacola, FL., 2 1/2 years in Orange County, CA, and 27 years in Alabama. I also lived in Africa (15 months in Morocco), and Europe (3 years in Italy, traveled around Italy, France, and Israel). I've studied French, Russian, and Mandarin, but am most fluent in Italian. I would love the opportunity to revisit some of the great places I've lived. I'm interested in someone who has the curiosity to learn about other cultures or is well traveled. I am a self taught art dealer and have studied artists and their works. I have had clients from Dubai to Newport, Rhode Island. I have two sons who are currently in college. They keep me up to date on what's going on. I still think young and am under the delusion I still am maybe because I've been around my sons and their friends for the past 21 years. Also, if you grew up in the 60's and 70's, the mantra was never trust anyone over 30. Hopefully 70 is now the new 30. My boys are my top priority, even though they don't need me for much these days, I will always be there for them. If you have children, hopefully you feel the same.
