About Me
Before I forget, my name is Jon. Makes it so much easier to talk to people when they know your name, doesn't it?
First and foremost, I'm a father of two amazing and wonderful kids.
I find people to be endlessly fascinating. I've always believed that if someone appears to be boring and predictable, it's because you don't yet know them well enough.
I have a deep sense of awe in the universe and all its mystery.
My life is fully immersed in music and, in particular, a cappella singing. Since long before high school, I have always been part of some ensemble or another, often as the director and/or music arranger. I tend to surround myself with singers better than myself so that I can experience beauty I can't achieve alone.
I love puzzles of all kinds. This has served me well as a computer programmer and analyst. As a musical arranger too, come to think of it.
I have average-to-moderate ability in all sorts of ridiculous and unmarketable skills including juggling, yo-yoing, piano playing, hula hooping, and swing dancing. None of these skills has earned me a dime, but I have found joy in all of them.
I'm unafraid of complicated situations. The world is a complex place and I revel in that complexity.
