Having read my share of profiles, I find it intriguing how some people write their entire autobiography and others one or two sentences. What is protocol in your opinion? One take away from the catering business I once had is that if you put a lot of food out you will please everyone as they will take what they want. I feel the same way about writing my profile here.
The cap I wear in my professional life is in real estate (love the flexibility) now that my 3 kids are grown and doing their own thing. This is on the heels of a national wholesale cake business that I founded in my kitchen and ran for a decade making 35 flavors of a very unique cake. If I said I still root for the Bears and Blackhawks, having grown up in the burbs of Chicago, regardless of living here half my life, would it be okay? I have been fortunate to travel quite a bit and look forward to seeing more of the world, such as Machu Picchu where I would love to hike. And hike. And hike. That intrigues me as does history.
When people search for others on these online dating sites, does anyone wish to know what people do in their spare time? For those who are curious….I spend my leisure time writing and over-editing 3 books, cooking/entertaining family and friends, staying active in all ways whether it be working out, walking or biking and I frequent movies, theater and museums. I am passionate about word puzzles and music, from Frank Sinatra to Lady Gaga. Does my love of technology label me a geek? Hmmmm. Whether you need to go to a black tie event or roll down a grassy hill, I am in. You desire conversation on a plethora of topics? Great! Last but not least my pics are current and age (gulp) correct. I do not get when people put up old pictures and blatantly fib about their age.
Shall I fill you in on my most embarrassing moment or tell you some secret that I have not told anyone? Nah...I will leave that for when I know you better. My sons are in the film industry and they say less is more, so I will say goodbye for now having given you a preview in the book of my life. If you think we might have something in common, let me know. If not, I wish you the best of luck in your search!
