As a child, I found that learning came easily to me. I was also, and still am, a daydreamer. Those two features, my intelligence and creativity, are what most define me. Yes, I like sports, and now do ballroom dancing for fun and to stay in shape. I like many other activities travel, music (piano and guitar), antique collecting, design, sewing, yoga, sailing, and reading.
I have always marched to a different drummer, and would like to find a man who has a similar rhythm.
My proudest accomplishments are my two sons, who are grown, and are both intelligent, kind, and thoughtful young men. I am also proud of my career, which has allowed me to help many people, some of whom travel many miles to seek out my care. I have developed a number of new procedures in my specialty, and write and lecture on those subjects. Fixing problems that people were told were un-fixable and restoring their lives, is very rewarding.
I am passionate about the environment and wildlife, and have been a committed recycler for years. I hope to dedicate my retirement years to conservation issues.
My dream vacation would be to travel to Europe (also western US, Asia, etc, etc,) without ever getting in a car or on a plane. I love long train rides.
My other character traits are my high energy, independence, and resilience. I get impatient with bureaucracy, closed-mindedness, the medical-industrial complex, social conservativism, and traffic.
