My hobbies include reading, movies, gourmet cooking, art including fused glass, and coin collecting. I am athletic and work out on a continuing basis. My athletic interests include swimming, snorkeling, treking and backbacking, and bicycling. I love to travel to interesting and out of the way places. I am a professional--full professor--who is an educator, teacher, writer, and researcher and I will continue to aspire toward professional advancement. My idea of a healthy relationship for myself and my partner include knowing how to and actively communicating and constructively negotiating and resolving inevitable conflicts in a relationship without undue drama, directly communicating feelings, when needed, tender and sweet romance, having fun times, having compatible views of the world including religion, culture and politics, and being able to do things by ourselves and of course quality time with each other. I hold a Ph.D., am financially secure, am an intellectual, love the arts and museum, love to travel all over the world (my last trip was to a Carribbean beach in Jamaica), and loves adventure. I am a father to a teenage son and am very comfortable and adept in this role. I am a big music fan of reggae, Jimmy Buffet, Grateful Dead, and folk music to name a few. I am interested in dating a woman whose basic interests overlap including having fun and enjoying life while leaving healthy room to pursue some of our other separate interests. Women who have a genuine interest in a committed relationship is what I am interested in. This includes similar religious interests and living a healthy lifestyle being a must!
