For starters, I'm Adam. I've been working in the fitness field as a trainer for over 2 years now.. I'm currently the head trainer at Red Fitness and I'm hoping to eventually start my own in-home training business. Fitness has always been a passion of mine. I enjoy working out and staying in shape along with helping others, so personal training seemed to be a good career that combined everything into one. I attended Kenyon College for 2 years and then I transferred. College really is the best 7 years of your life. I was originally planning on becoming a teacher, but ended up switching to personal training. I knew I wanted a career that involved impacting others, just wasn't sure what exactly. The teacher in me hasn't gone away completely. I tutor kids in middle school math when I have the time. Working with kids has always been something that I've enjoyed doing. I find helping others to be extremely rewarding. However, sometimes I can be a little too selfless. This whole writing about yourself doesn't help with staying modest, does it?
Family and friends are big priorities for me as well. My brother and I have always been close. He has diabetes and is an inspiration to me everyday. As weird as it sounds, I think the big age difference has made us closer.
I'd definitely like to travel more considering I've never been on an airplane, sad I know. In my free time, I volunteer when I can. I'm also a huge sports fan, especially baseball which I played back in school. I cheer on all my Cleveland teams and enjoy going to the games when I can. I tend to yell at the tv a little too much when the games are on do a little 180.
I try to take advantage of what Cleveland has to offer, be it museums, restaurants, improv and comedy clubs, the list is endless. I also sketch in my free time. I haven't been able to as much as before, but it's always helpful to clear my mind.
I enjoy life to the fullest and always go by the saying "Carpe Diem, Seize the Day." Life's too short to worry about the little things. I try to make the most out of every situation and appreciate good conversation. I enjoy letting loose, but also know when to be serious. Sarcasm comes too easily for me and I guess you could say I have a dry sense of humor. You could call me that typical nice guy with a little edge to him. Let's face it, you can't be too nice, you'll get walked all over. I'd consider myself very down to earth, selfless, and understanding.
I'm looking for someone with these same qualities someone that can challenge me and bring out the best in me. Honesty is also very important. Chivalry isn't dead with me. If you're a sports fan, that's a big plus as well. I'd just like to find someone who I can feel comfortable with and have a great time with. It's all about having fun, no pressure. Life is a crazy experience and I'm hoping to find someone I can eventually share the ride with.
