I’m new to Ann Arbor and having just returned from working in East Africa for 1.5 years for my PhD, I’m excited to meet new people and explore with someone. My passion has always been wildlife and conservation and this has led me to live and work in many great places– from studying ape cognition in Germany to carnivore behavior and conservation in Kenya. However, I’m looking forward to living closer to my family in Chicago, to not being perpetually behind on pop-culture references, and to having easy access to Thai food.
I'm always trying to find balance in my life. My closest friends and family are empathic individuals who are quirky and open-minded, yet forward and not afraid to speak their minds in a heated political conversation, a game of Settlers of Catan, or in telling me they think I'm going in the wrong direction. Among my friends, I’m known for over-using my hands when I talk, for not being able to tell a funny story because I’m too busy laughing while I’m thinking about it, and for animal impressions.
