I started this profile on a whim and have unfortunately fallen behind on updating or even completing some essential parts of it...
My name is Adam and as the photo above suggests, I'm a medical school student (dual-degree candidate) here in Philadelphia. If I had to describe myself, I think I would say I'm the illegitimate love-child (odd... and slightly irrational, I know) of JD from the television show Scrubs and Ted Mosby from HIMYM -- I'm goofy and nerdy, but sweet and empathic, adventurous and idealistic.
I enjoy art, music and writing, good wine and scotch (pre-prohibition era bars**), travel, cooking and experiencing Philadelphia cuisine (sushi, steak, Italian -- I hope you can guess my favorite restaurant).
Born and raised in the Philadelphia suburbs, I've studied in Boston, New York and London. It's great to be back home, and I hope to practice medicine here following graduation.
I no doubt have undiagnosed subclinical ADHD and as a result, constantly need to be stimulated and on the move. Alternatively, I enjoy the quiet and being able to share the silence with someone (long drives to absolutely nowhere come to mind).
While busy (who isn't these days?), I'm looking to make room and time for someone who continuously challenges me, enjoys laughter, is witty and keeps me in line. I'm extremely outspoken (though, ironically shy at first), and am a sucker for a good debate and a counter-argument to the things I say and do.
I'm rather type-A and stubborn at times, but am always open to the possibility of other opinions and views. Though certainly headstrong and with conviction, I'm inspired by those whose lives have led them down different paths than my own, and am humbled by the ability to learn from others.
I take my education extremely seriously (border-lining on competitive) and constantly hope to glean something new about the world.
Dating in medical school is a tricky subject, and though I would definitely be pleased by finding someone who enjoys not "talking shop" all the time, this is certainly not a prerequisite.
Lastly -- and I don't mind admitting it... Typical Gemini.
Feel free to shoot me a message.
