I’m a woman of apparent contradictions a complex person who appreciates the simple pleasures. I’m an East coast native but have lived most of my life on the West coast a Mensa member with working class sensibilities a Navy veteran reciting the V’ahavta every morning a rune-drawer, beachcomber, political independent, romantic, needle phobic, ultralight pilot, poet, -- someone who values watching stars shoot across black licorice skies almost as much as she values her son’s heart or a lover’s caress. (For those who put stock in such things, I'm usually a 5 on the Enneagram and an INFJ on the MMPI.)
I’m a writer by both vocation and profession. Currently working on a political caper novel. For steadier income, I write medical narratives. I also spend time with my adult son, my friends, other writers, and my synagogue community. I enjoy rafting, kayaking and short nature walks attend a wide variety of adult ed classes, and Shabbat Shirat services. I do volunteer work with the homeless through my shul.
Seriously considering a geographic move. While I enjoy the culture and natural beauty of Ashland (locale of Oregon’s Shakespeare Festival, and home to many actors, artists and writers—Pacific Northwest’s Santa Fe or Sedona), I have social connections in the East Bay and may relocate for the climate, stimulation, and percentage of lesbians.
My strengths include listening, loyalty, driving (never had an accident!!), integrity, sensuality, being a good parent, putting people at ease, kissing, coping with difficulties, and retaining a certain childlike wonder at life. You like (or at least can tolerate) the transcendent and the eclectic. You feel comfortable in a woman's body. You cultivate a meaningful spiritual life. You converse, think, feel, and make love with passion. You understand that a kiss can be a question mark, a comma, or an exclamation point. You're good at punctuation.:)
