About Me
I’m a “free-range Jew” from the Rocky Mountain Wild West currently living in Ohio, where I work in academia. A friend gave me that moniker a few years ago when he found out where I was from, but I suppose it does apply in more ways than one—I am a vegetarian (and a fabulous cook, according to my friends), practice yoga, tend a wonderful garden in the summer, embrace a diverse set of interests, and love to travel. Whether I’m hiking up a mountain in Iraqi Kurdistan or exploring the restaurants of Rome (did I say I'm a fan of good food?), I adore overseas adventures and absorbing life on the streets and in the homes of people whose backgrounds are different from my own. I have a motorcycle (sexy, yes?) but I’ve forgotten how to ride it (lame, I know). I’m looking for someone who appreciates intelligent conversation but has a goofy, irreverent side, and who enjoys the company of family, friends, and pets. Will you be the one to experience future domestic and “foreign” adventures with me?
