I'm a normal guy with abnormal energy. That could be why my personal & work lives often seem like non-stop adventures, and I feel like I'm 25 (until I look in the mirror). So far, it's been a fun ride. Some details:
I'm a fair, loyal, upbeat guy who loves his work (a journalist/author) & thinks he's doing good, a master story teller & listener w/ a good sense of humor. I like fun stuff — surprises, boat parades, ferry rides, dancing, Jewish holidays, Thai food, falafel, Castle, Comedy Central, the Clippers, the movies, camping in Yosemite & gossip about the Kardashians (come on— you do too). I'm a history buff, news junkie, Israel-phile, museum-goer, daily exerciser, healthy eater.
But when I'm not chained to my desk or my zip code, the true adventure begins. I've been to 47 countries by bike & backpack - and counting. I've raced some of the toughest cycling, running, and adventure races on Earth. My son had been to more places with me before he graduated high school than many see in a lifetime. On the weekends, I'm a mountain-biking, tennis-playing maniac. I'll use any excuse to drive to L.A. or S.D. —Venice Beach, Hollywood Bl., Griffith Park observatory, you name it. I love hiking all the trails here —it's conversation, sightseeing and a workout all at once. An active life is a great life, as far as I'm concerned. That's not to say I can't take it slow, or that I'm only looking for an Amazon woman who can swing from trees, spin a basketball on her index finger, and carry me over one shoulder (although that'd be cool). But a good match would be a girl confident enough to drag me into her world AND tackle real athletic adventure with me once in a while ... because it's a big part of my life and a joy to experience together.
If you share my philosophy, possess an insatiable curiosity, and like me tend to see the glass as half full, let's talk.
