Where to start? I LOVE... country music (and won't apologize for it). The smell of fresh cut grass. Watermelon. Watching lightning bugs flitter around. Firepits - with smores. Summer is on my mind, evidently! Making snow angels. Running in the rain. Taking my dog to the trails. Fall is definitely my favorite season, I love sweatshirt/jean weather, perhaps at a football game? Meditating. Yoga. Stream of Consciousness? Español. Los guatemaltecos. Jumping off things. Laughing. Learning. Roadtripping. Traveling in general - I've had the good fortune to visit many places around this beautiful country and world, both personally and professionally. I guess one of my greatest pleasures is getting to know people with diverse life experiences.
I consider myself a pretty happy person and prefer to spend my time engaging in the "simple things"...time with loved ones, good food/drink, being outside, music, and enjoying whatever comes my way. This is in contrast to a couple of frenzied years living in New York City - which were great for a lot of reasons but a little intense! I'm trying to figure out where I belong in the world - big city? Around a campfire? Maybe a little of both? I'm in graduate school now and thrilled to be working in a field I love (psychology).
I'm looking for someone who is passionate about what they do and who they are! While we all have different interests, strengths and weaknesses, there is nothing more important to me than surrounding myself with people who remain excited by life. Their life. Whether it's work, family, friends, nature, art, books, music, animals, etc., or preferably a combination, passion for life is contagious and what makes it all interesting and worthwhile. You know the people who are constantly seeking new ideas, people, experiences? I strive to be one of them, and enjoy meeting others. Also, I'm looking for someone who is kind, modest, confident, and who can communicate openly. Personal insight and emotional health are important given my chosen profession. I enjoy deep conversations and intellectual stimulation, though I also find myself (literally) laughing out loud about many stupid things every day...I hope you do too. Finally, if you're someone who feels the need to show off your bare chest or car in your profile, you're probably not my soulmate.
