It's interesting to me that even though it's always over a year between "jdate updates" for me, the essays are always still accurate. I think that is a good theme for trying to get across who I consider myself to be in this short episode of About Me. I'd say that I focused so much on self-exploration and personal growth in my twenties so that now what I consider to be a simple, boring life could just as easily be branded as a steady, grounded approach to life. All in all, I think I'm a fun combination of being a wise, old soul willing (okay, eager) to let my playful exuberance shine through. People often talk about wanting to meet the person who will be their best friend and lover. That's true for me...but I am very heavily weighted towards the best friend part. I get great satisfaction in my relationships with friends, family, co-workers and even strangers so I don't approach dating/marriage as a need but rather an opportunity to find that exceptional person I'll get to share a lot of time and memories with.
