Although only newly divorced .. it took 18+ months to get that way. I am nervous to jump into this online dating pool. However, I AM READY to dip my feet in and splash around. How long have you been swimming in it?
Humor aside, I want to expand my social horizon. I want to meet new people, discuss different viewpoints, and develop new friendships and relationships.
On my nights off (joint custody situation) I can often be found with my dog at the local bookstore listening to music. I enjoy being social... being with friends and meeting new people. I am confident enough to approach a stranger and strike up a conversation. I look beyond the razzle-dazzle for quality. (brownie points to guys that catch the movie reference!)
If you have taken the time to look through my photos... you know I own a dog. Obviously, I am a pet person. If I had the means and the room, I would rescue every lost soul I see at the shelter. However, being realistic I merely donate money to the cause.
The best things in my life are my children, my family, and my friends.
I love to laugh. At myself, at comedy, at life!
LIFE IS TOO SHORT TO STIFLE A GOOD BELLY LAUGH!
I am a voracious reader. I like escaping into the lives and worlds created by an author. I like musicals, movies and television for the same reason.
Pet Peeves: mean people and bad grammar in Facebook posts.
I consider myself SILKY: Someone I'd Like to Kanoodle. Are YOU SILKY, TOO?
One last peek into my life: I love to bake. My grandmother was an amazing baker (although she would murder any vegetable she tried to cook). Within the past 5 years, I have begun to bake biscotti, muffins, and breads. I enjoy experimenting with established recipes and then giving away my creations. I am quite proud of my growth as an amateur baker ... I know my grandmother is looking down on me with pride and a smile.
So, if you, too, are interested in a light-hearted night out with a new friend... feel free to put on your swimmies and join me in the shallow end!
