A professor of History and Religion, I grew up modern Orthodox but now I consider myself just traditional. While I enjoy intellectual reflection, I still consider myself a people's person and LOVE to laugh. I am a huge U2 fan, soft spoken, usually smiling, intellectual, and open-minded. I am close with my family (I am the baby boy!) and I enjoy playing guitar. I love chess and have also done some acting for the history channel.
I am a huge Adam Sandler and Denzel Washington fan, I am a Yankee, Bulls, and Jet fan, I love vegan food, - but cant turn down a tuna wrap with a pickle (nor a chicken burger at Delil Kasbah) ! Finally -- I deeply value Judaism as a living religious culture, but not as reflecting any metaphysical truth. While I won't match well with someone who feels the Torah is the word of God,
I would like to build a Jewish home that is warm, loving, open, and passionate.
I live in Chicago, but I am in NY for the summer doing research and spending time with family.
