My fifth grade teacher had the class write down what we wanted to be when we grew up. The girl to my left picked softball player, the girl to my right picked president of the US. I, on the other hand, had bigger dreams. I wrote Superman. It is 23 years later, and I'm still 2 inches short of meeting the physical qualifications to be the greatest superhero of all time. Due to the minor setback, I accepted my mortality and decided to become a teacher, a Superman in its own regard.
What do I think of myself? I'm definitely somewhat of a nerd, but not in the socially awkward way. I like facts and science and numbers. I enjoy a good jigsaw puzzle as well as reading about technology. Traveling is a must when time and my wallet permits it. I enjoy photography and learning tricks of the trade.
On the other side of the coin, I enjoy all sports, playing and watching...especiall y the BPL (if you know/follow/watch the BPL, contact me!). I like rockin' out to pop music and telling/hearing corny jokes. Big Backstreet Boys fan growing up and I'm not afraid to admit it! Nsync was alright, too.
Other random facts...I like to cook and don't mind doing dishes. I have been doing my own laundry since I was 10 because I yelled at my mom for bleaching my favorite shorts. She's a tough cookie and her word was law. I prefer mustard on foods instead of ketchup. People watching is great. I have a chess set that I always want to use because it's hand carved out of rock and freakin' awesome but never have someone around who knows how to play. My favorite thing to consume is a strawberry milkshake. People who predict the end of the world bother me and should worry about living instead of dying. I still have my favorite stuffed animal from when I was a kid. Mullets make me smile - comb overs too.
