I'm a former writer/journalist turned organic farmer, a lover of quiet green places with an urbanite's sophistication (or so I like to imagine). I like bodies of water, fresh vegetables, flowers, well crafted sentences, a groove you can feel in the grit of your teeth, and the smell of pavement after rain. I spent over a decade in New York City before discovering the pleasures of soil. The past few years, I've been really fortunate to grow food in a string of beautiful locations -- on a hilltop overlooking the Pacific and tucked between two mountain ranges in Vermont. I've traveled a lot, but I like coming home the best. I'm looking for a woman with the savvy of Brooklyn who could nevertheless see herself planting roots somewhere more, um, fertile? Other random stuff: I have a huge extended family and I pretty much love them all. I've been playing music since I was little and can respectably rock out on several instruments. I make amazing homemade kimchi.
