I lived in Tucson, Arizona till I was nine, which means I had a hispanic accent when I was little and didn't know how to put on winter gloves till my family moved to Michigan. We took a crazy month long road trip and learned many things along the way. The most important are that if you give a kid a steady stream of Dramamine they won't remember important parts of a life changing journey and to never go through an automatic carwash with the family cats inside. Because of this crazy upbrinng, I think I have that west coast laid back attitude, paired with midwest manners. I'm a musical spirit (my ipod/iphone has everything from Howlin Wolf to Mozart to bluegrass to Nirvana) with a passion for the performing arts. When I have time, I read books on many diverse topics. I can spend all day cooking and watching movies I(I love movie fests), but I don't mind going out and exploring Chicago whether it is a museum, restaurant or a new store. After visiting the Aquarium and a stop at Starbucks I can easily spend the evening watching The Tudors and Jackass. Always adventuresome, I have lived on my own in Chicago since, the age of 18 and I have only to learn how to parallel park, upon which I will consider myself a true Chicago girl. I play the piano a little and when i'm the mood or especially confident I play my violin, that I've had since 5th grade. I have a B.A. in Performing Arts Management from Columbia College and just finished a B.S.G.S. in Economics from Northwestern (apparently the G.S. means I did a lot of math and analysis stuff, i.e. made it through stats and calculus).I have a passion for animals and enjoy long walks around the Zoo (the gremlin looking monkeys and the red panda are my favorites). Lately, I've developed a really bad addiction to buzzfeed, which isn't that bad since their posts make me laugh.
i'm looking for someone who found my "about me" really entertaining and wants to have fun while navigating life. Basically, I want my life to be a mixture of How I Met Your Mother, Modern Family, Empire Records, and a British romantic comedy. I would love to travel, so someone who would like to learn about the world outside of the United States or even Illinois would be great.
