About Me
Many years ago I had a giraffe eat out of my hand, as well as an elephant and a wild baboon. I live intensely, love what I do and have never regretted anything (really). I believe in taking life by the horns and making the most out of it. I write and edit poetry, make jewelery and cook things I've never heard of. I go to a poetry retreat every summer where I read and wrote poetry for hours, punctuated by some sun. I used to teach environmental education, which taught me to see what is around me (and the best part was I got paid to hike and sleep outdoors). I am contemplating running another marathon.
I am originally from Brooklyn, NY (there is no place like it) and have also lived in Philadelphia, Boston, rural Vermont and Chicago. I travel every opportunity I get and have been to Nepal, Australia, Israel, Brazil, Argentina, Chile, the Dominican Republic and Vietnam. I had an amazing trip to Rwanda and Kenya. I worked in a hospital and then hiked to see the gorillas. There is no country or state I wouldn't like to visit, and long drives are fine with me (I have been known to go for 20 hours solo). I want to see things I've never seen before.
