About Me

In general, looking for a guy to share a sofa with in front of a fireplace, or out on the town, in a cozy bar somewhere...any takers? As for career, I gave up my corporate-ish job in fashion and events PR years ago, and happy I did. Now I run my own company, cooking and writing professionally -- I like to think I'm in the business of making people happy. And I'm good at my job. On a personal level, I'm interesting and interested. Book smart, emotionally smart, and a quick learn. Both forward-thinking and old-school, driven and independent. I have always gotten along well with guys, from my brothers and Dad, to friends spanning from middle school (some of whom are still my dear friends) through present day. Suffice it to say I can hang out with the boys. Still, I'm a bit of a modern feminist and I'm unapologetically feminine: I have soft skin and curves and I smell nice. I'm FUN. I'm also kind and empathetic, an upbeat optimist with a healthy dose of sarcasm-cynicism. I'm well-traveled and have experienced a lot, but always have some positive anxiety about the vast amount of things I still want to do, see, read, live, and learn -- this propels me forward. I'm funny and quick to laugh and find humor in things. Great personal style. I believe that life is a constant learning process, and get along with those who feel the same. I lived for many years overseas, an experience that taught me the value of making time for the enjoyable things in life...and reinforced the importance of family, good friends, and the blurring of the line between the two. It also taught me to be open to new experiences at all times -- great things often come from where, and when, you least expect them. Family and friends are a central focus in my life, and I'm fiercely loyal. I remember the little things, and believe there's beauty in the details. I play well with others. Honesty is paramount between friends and partners. And while physical attraction is certainly important, mental and emotional attraction is more so. The best possible situation: when we both can't keep our minds, eyes, or hands off of each other. Also important: being together as individuals. Does any of this resonate with you?
