About Me
Hi! I'm currently a graduate student for the second time and I am working on losing a great deal of weight. I've gotten to the point in my life where I'm ready to grow up and be the person that I've always wanted to be.
However, I have deeply engrained parts of who I am that will never change. These traits include loyalty, patience, an insatiable need for knowledge, and a somewhat dry sense of humor (I prefer British witty comedies over American slap-stick).
In addition to these traits, my Jewish identity is important to me. The food, culture, and rituals are a part of how I think. I know how to make challah and matzo ball soup from scratch. But I also know how to clean house for Passover and dress for an Orthodox family, but I am not Orthodox (I have issues with high necklines). I see my religion as influencing my everyday choices, but it isn't there to separate me from the greater global community.
