About Me
I was born and raised in New York and have lived in Boston, Bilbao, London, Frankfurt, Madrid and DC (in that order). To my own surprise I've been in LA for eight years. I wasn't expecting to stay more than one or two, but it's really grown on me. The only trouble is finding people on my wavelength, which I guess is why I finally broke down and joined this site after years of misplaced cynicism. Interests include international travel (recent trips to Indonesia, China, Japan, Cambodia and Laos), reading biography, fiction and the New Yorker, listening to music, writing, hiking, walking, biking, drawing, painting, playing tennis and squash, following the NBA (go Clippers!), going to concerts and the opera, enjoying food and wine (trying new places and hitting the old favorites), and spending time with my wonderful friends and family --- though I do need my time alone, and I appreciate a woman who's independent and also needs time apart. I think that my friends would describe me as ambitious, intelligent, witty, supportive, reliable and loyal. I'm a sincere guy who tries to do the right thing, even if it doesn't always turn out that way. Honesty is everything. I'm excited to have a family but I don't want to do it with the wrong person. I'm willing to wait for the right match. I'd like to find someone who feels the same way.
