About Me

So this is the part where I try to write something both pithy yet profound about myself. Well, I'm kind, a good listener and I have a good (if occasionally offbeat) sense of humor. I try not to take myself too seriously and I respect the opinions of others even when I may not agree. I try to live in the present while being mindful of the lessons of the past and the possibilities of the future. I am looking for someone else who has learned to love life and values time over money, a woman who is both intelligent and sensual with a sense of calm spirituality about life and relationships. The qualities I esteem most, in others and myself, are kindness, compassion, honesty and integrity, the desire to continue to learn and grow, an appreciation of family, and a love of beauty and nature. (I would also really appreciate someone who can help me figure out what actually happens to my socks when I do laundry) I also love to have fun. I can be convinced to try just about anything once. More than anything I love all music, especially jazz, blues, R&B, folk, classical and good old rock-and-roll I also enjoy good food, great wine, theatre, tennis, literature, that first cup of coffee in the morning, sharing the Sunday paper, and Trader Joe's peanut butter cups. I also enjoy travel and learning about different cultures. I volunteer with a local social services agency to try and give something back to the community. I enjoy the quiet times, just spending an evening at home with a book or DVD and a freshly popped bag of popcorn. I also make a great omelette. I'm open to wherever a relationship may lead up to including marriage if that is in the cards.
