In the same day I was fortunate enough to help a little boy say his name for the first time, and also to be a part of a teenage girl talking to her first boyfriend. Rarely a dull moment in the life of someone who works with children who have special needs.....and Im thankful for that.
But....when I leave work, I really leave work. Happy hour at an outdoor bar, long weekends in the mountains, paddle boarding at the Outer Banks.
Its not that I always need to get out of town, its just I'll go anywhere to have fun. I have traveled 2 hours to a tree top adventure course, simply because my best friend said she wanted to try it.
I recently started to practice yoga, because my body craves it.....
and I have traveled pretty far to see a boyfriend because a girl needs her man.
Life is about laughing....experien cing new places. Making memories.
My playfulness and warm heart are reflected in my smile...what can I say except that Im a happy lady ). I love to wear pink because its soft and makes me feel pretty.
I have a talent for being able to tie most situations into a scene from Dumb and Dumber or Bridesmaids (the airplane scene.....for real?!).
All joking aside, Im so excited for the magic and safety that comes from that unique connection. I feel the best in life is yet to come and cant wait for that special man to have me join him on the journey.
My hero of a guy is a man who is masculine in nature, athletic, protective, intelligent, chivalrous. You know what you want in life and you take initiative. Most importantly you genuinely want to take care of your lady.
