I get to fight the good fight, and tip at windmills from time to time. One of the best moments in my life was watching a paratrooper rescue a parakeet.....I realized that's what armies should be for.......... These words may seem a little pedantic, but I've been lucky enough to be given an opportunity to make a difference on occasion. I see life as a cause. Have had an incredible life ... . Never wanted to go placidly into that good night. Wanted to serve humanity. Careful what you wish for. Now I write and teach to change things.............. .For the most part, the days of hands on are over but I certainly got to do the job. Sense of humor gets me through my days. Wandering through art museums (or any museum), historical sites and touring the architecture of old homes or a castle is a good day. Buy and sell antiques. Exploring unknown forests or beaches with my dog or trying to make sure he gets a steak every night is part of most days. A great day is rather simple it includes listening to npr....watching him take off into the sea or the woods and cooking. I hold no preconceived image of a partner but rather seek a woman who can hold her own in any situation and yet still wants a shoulder to lean on. A good day now, is more simple, and less well defined. Simply sharing time together with someone I care for would make life a pleasure. I have gotten to travel the world, but often by myself (or the guys), and all too often the most incredible places in the worst of times. Chemistry opens the door but the room needs to be filled with understanding, warmth, love and open communication. We may look from separate windows but hopefully we see the same things. Back down to earth, I do love to fix things. I am a closet mr. Fixit. .. Love to cook, love to eat......anything.Us ed to take gastronomic tours of europe. Most of my Jersey friends are stick in the mud steak and potatoes.....I love exotic foods ....You don't have too, it just makes dining a bit more eclectic. Not into sports unless I'm playing. I'd rather pay attention to you. Please, please include picture as we would like to know whom we are speaking too.... Seeing someone in a picture is more often a window into them, their heart and soul. I'm gonna go take a walk with my dog................. .................... .............. ..............
