About Me

Let's clarify from the beginning that I do not have 23 children!!! Don Mattingly is a family favorite, so that's where the #23 comes into play.. Friends consider me to be a high-spirited, positive thinking, upbeat and attractive woman, (with a touch of rebelliousness) You'll always find me smiling and enjoying the people I share my life with. My family is fabulous!, 2 of the most spectacular kids (at least I think so)...my daughter is a freshman in college, hard to let go but I realize this will most likely be the best time of her life.. it was for me! My son is a happy, smiley typical 14 year old who loves the Yankees and says that his education comes from the Family Guy and George Lopez. YIKES! Only thing missing is that special someone. I have a job that people only dream of. I am an administrator for a Network that supports public schools in Brooklyn and Queens. Many of my schools are in the inner cities and the principals are so appreciative for our assistance. It is so satisfying to help the schools build a learning community that fosters true education.. the kind that allows children to enjoy being in their building for 7 hours per day! One of my many projects is negotiating with vendors to get technology and computer programs into the schools. Now for the hard core facts... I can't cook if my life depended on it.. I burn everything I touch because I can't seem to give my whole-hearted attention in the kitchen...I get distracted right after I set the timer, but I'll be happy to do the dishes. Don't believe in astrology but there must be something to it because this Cancer LOVES anything to do with water.. Plant me on a boat or on the sand with great friends/family and some tunes crankin' from a decent stereo (BandO preferred over Bose LOL) and you'll realize life doesn't get any better than this! Would you like to spend a day fishing together? Proud to say that I can even hook my own bait! Happiness, to me, is sharing a hot dog at Yankee Stadium with that special sports fan. Love sushi but it just doesn't belong in the new stadium. The little things in life are the most important.. gazing at the stars and chilling for hours over a roaring fire that we built together.. I have perfected the art of making Smores! LOL Other passions include trying to play the guitar, traveling to places where my toes are free in the sand and I can see my feet underwater, snorkeling, biking thru Colorado, collecting Yankees' autographs with my son, playing pool or tennis.. Would love to get scuba certified. My heart is easily warmed by a crackling fireplaces, watching men play sports, hours of belly laughter, lightning storms or snuggling with that special person, but most of all enjoying life and creating memories w/ POSITIVE people! How about joining me in a membership to Lifetime Fitness in Syosset and be my motivating force. It's the Disneyland of fitness centers.(and, no, I don't work there) Play nice and be safe :-)
