About Me
Basics:
I’m intellectual, honest, and funny. I live most of the time in Ormond Beach, FL, but own a home in Chicago (Old Town) and travel there often. Education pedigree very impressive, but I can also demonstrate common sense, which strangely seems rare lately. Financially sound, very responsible. Curious about the world, and like foreign travel. Likes: politics, investing, exercise, playing with my mom's dog, eating right, being polite (I have manners which seems to be another rare thing today).
If you like my pictures, you can stop reading here...keeping it short and sweet.
More detail:
I own restaurants. Now wait, wait, don't bail on me I don't mesh up with the stereotype of a restaurateur (and yes, that is how it is spelled :) Most restaurateurs did not graduate from Wharton Undergraduate and get an Masters from the University of Chicago. I still have two IHOPs (yes, blue roof and chocolate chip pancakes) and a breakfast, lunch and dinner beach bar, on the ocean, called The Beach Bucket which is locally famous... thebeachbucket.com. I have sold two restaurants in the past 18 months (happy dance!) as I make my business life more manageable.
Secret stuff (still reading? boy do you like to check out a profile):
I still read two real newspapers every day, the paper kind. I joined a health club and asked the counter person if they recycled newspapers she looked at me and implied she had never seen one.
I don't really Facebook. I have an account, but go on only when I get some sort of notification that someone wants to say hi and reconnect. I keep wondering when Jdate will ask are you a Facebook person or not right after smoker or non-smoker.
Learned a long time ago, there is little correlation between a great profile and a great person for you (maybe a correlation between a lousy profile and someone you don't want to meet). I prefer to meet face to face early on to find out about someone, not a lot of endless letters.
