About Me

There are names we are given at birth and names we make for ourselves throughout life. I was given the name Samson, a biblical hero and judge who was also the namesake of my great uncle who resided in Cuba. On the road to self discovery, I was a small child who curtailed his name to sam hoping to hide in the shadows. It was not until the age of 25 that I understood the power and significance of names. It was that realization that helped me through the loss of a job, the loss of a fiancee and nearly my life by a drunk driver in the span of a few weeks. I'm a man of strength, toughness and resiliency. I've been a volunteer fireman, play ice hockey and handle false arrest cases as my practice as an attorney. I place a lot of importance on volunteering for Jewish organizations and Israel. I am known for feeding the hungry whether it be the homeless or just friends that stop by my place. I shop at Costco often and with a purpose--my neighbors all know where to find rations if a war comes. My favorite pastimes include travel and an appreciation for museums, the performing arts, as well as the serenity of aquariums. I totally recommend the Renoir exhibit at the Frick collection which is still in town but will be concluding soon. I don't have any pets currently but I am known for having an incredibly soft spot for penguins and hope one day to visit and explore the fields of Patagonia (Penguingonia) or perhaps the arctic regions...Perhaps we'll go there together and some other exotic destinations as well :)
