Let's get it right out in the open,
I’m 40, I’m single, and I’ve never been married because I’ve spent those years learning, growing, and cultivating the qualities that make me worth snatching up and holding on to. Qualities like an education, a job, a career (which for me is not the same thing), compassion, purpose, skills of emotional, verbal, and physical intimacy. Qualities like passion, romance, consideration, courtesy, gratitude, and respect for both myself and others. I have female friends and I have sisters. I know I’m far from perfect, but in my experience many women are terrified to get involved with a man they don’t have to fix. They go bug nutty and start looking for axes under sofa cushions and bodies hidden in closets. You will find neither in my house. I know. It’s scary to not have to do the fixing part. What else is there to talk about when you’re getting your nails done? I have faith in you! I believe in you! You can do it!
