Smart, witty, lively. I like to laugh. I thrive on genuine connection with honest, cut-to-the-chase conversation. I enjoy words, plays on words, puns, irony, sarcasm (not the mean type), self-deprecation and double entendres, sometimes bawdy. Compassion and generosity of spirit are vital to me.
Music and dancing has been a big part of my life. I love live music that is good for partner dancing! I will grab a friend or ask a stranger to dance (just to share the joy of it) and be the first one out on the dance floor or in the aisle of a bar, and usually do most every dance. I can teach anyone how to dance in about 30 seconds, even if you have two left feet. I less regularly attend organized dances of the swing, blues, zydeco genres.
I love going to music/dancing festivals in the summer months and have been to New Orleans Jazz Fest many times. I enjoy traveling but have been somewhat tied to the area as I am responsible for overseeing care for my elderly parents who live several towns from me.
My other main hobby is playing soccer at the friendly pick-up game level, with a bunch of cosmopolitan guys (and a few women) from all over the world. "My profile name "Joga Bonito" means "the Beautiful Game." Yes, I run with 20, 30 and 40 year-olds, although I prefer to use my wiles rather than my legs, and yes, sometimes they run right by me!
I ride a BMW touring style motorcycle!
