I am an artistic, energetic, loyal and passionate person. My friends and family are the most important things in my life. I love them dearly. I grew up in Los Angeles, CA and have lived in the DC area for the past 5 years. I came out here to pursue a degree in International Affairs and stayed for the people, the atmosphere and the dancing. I work as a consultant in a massive firm. In spite of myself, I often find myself enjoying my work--even though it can sometimes be stressful or boring (very dynamic).
I love to have fun and to be silly, but I also know when to be serious. I am told I can be a social butterfly and I enjoy hosting people, but I am happiest in small groups where I can engage in lively discussions or engaging in quiet activities such as reading, watching TV, baking, and spending time in nature. I am an academic at heart with a quizical, analytical mind. I love learning, discussing, debating, elucidating, philosophizing and finding excuses to use big words in sentences (particularly if a pun can be involved). That said, I'm a terrible speller. Go figure.
I consider myself more spiritual than religious, but I do enjoy practicing Jewish traditions and am looking for someone to share those traditions with. I grew up with a relatively liberal and egalitarian view of Judaism.
I am an animal lover and have two very sweet, quirky cats. I love the arts/performing arts (particlularly dancing, music and theater). I am a bit of a dance-o-holic, but I'm in a 12-step program. -)
I love nature, the outdoors and reading and am particularly happy at the top of a tree with a good book. -)
