About Me
I was ACTUALLY raised in a ZOO! My father was founder/ owner/ operator of a 100 acre petting zoo, enchanted village and amusement park called ANIMAL FOREST PARK & FUNLAND, in York Beach, Maine, from 1945-80. My Siberian Husky nursed two lion cubs in my bedroom on the beach in Marblehead Massachusetts. I was always Dad's Left-Hand-Girl and I share many of his traits. Growing up in this dynamic environment helped me become passionate about helping animals and our world, from a young age. My last paid employment was Business Analyst for Retirement Funds. I have a Technical Art /Advertising/ Business/ Development background. Pursuing grad deg plan to join Green Business Consultation Teams to ***respectfully*** shift communities and industries maximize profits. Was offered a federally funded Business Development Graduate School Job, at University of Hawaii,Energy House, but decided that Southern California is my better pathway, to be close to family and friends. Very thankful for the circle of love from my family, friends and the kindness of those who have helped me through this challenging relocation, from chilly New England, through a summer at University of Arizona living in a Sustainable Village, to learning and enriching months in Diamond Head, Honolulu, to my new home in La Jolla! Plan to begin volunteer work at Salk Institute and Congregation Beth El, in order to keep skills sharp while I help a worthy cause.
