I’m an Asian Jew. For real. It happened. (You’re welcome). While Asian Jews do in fact exist beyond the mythical land of leprechauns and unicorns, we’re sort of like the white rhinos of the Jewish community, rarely seen in our natural habitat. And, apparently if we see our shadow come February, winter last an extra couple of weeks, so I’ve been told.
So in a nutshell: I was once a professional soccer player in Holland, now I'm a musician/singer-song writer and psychology grad student striving to balance all my interest - whether that's making music, giving back to the world, or being active (lately it's been road biking). But despite my passion for music, I'm not the typical musician stereotype nor pop culture cliche. I like to be well-rounded, adaptable, and not necessarily fit into any one box. I'm down-to-earth, spiritual and enjoy both the deep and the ridiculous. Even though I'm more "vibe it out" than analytical, yes, I do analyze, revise, consider and reconsider seemingly "conflicting" perspectives that maintain their own sort of harmonic tension (I think that's part of being a psychologist). And, I don't think I was under the influence when I wrote that.
Anyways, I'm very close to my family and two brothers. Relationships are important to me. I'm a good listener and an empathetic friend, and I do work that I'm proud of. I also have a wide range of experience, having been a professional athlete at a young age and now a musician and almost-psychologist, which gives me a unique perspective on life and change. And on the plus side, I've never done any hard time in prison, there are no outstanding warrants for my arrest, and I've never had to eat a fellow passenger in order to survive a plane crash. Needless to say, I'm very open-minded and like a lot of things. However, me and Jose Cuervo do not get along. Me and you, on the other hand, might get along swimmingly.
