About Me

Have you ever asked yourself "what is an actuary"? Well, you're in luck, because that's exactly what I am. Basically, I crunch numbers and run financial projections, set pricing and do other analysis for health insurance companies. It's a (sometimes very) busy job but I really enjoy it! I'm not a big party animal, but I like to hang out with my friends, usually in more low-key environments. I like to travel a bit, though I haven't much the last couple years. What I really like is interesting experiences I won't say that I'll try ANYTHING once, but when something sounds cool I'll usually give it a try (unless it involves heights - skydiving is definitely a no for me). I'm a really nice person. I make an effort to be positive whenever I can it's just a more pleasant lifestyle to try to look on the bright side of things whenever possible, to avoid stressing out about the little things, and to be nice in general. I don't have a huge circle of friends, but the ones I do I tend to be close with, and I care a lot about them. The actuarial exam process is a big part of my life these days (only one more day-long exam to go now), but I'm still able to make time to have fun anyway! I'm not a big pet person, to be honest. I never really grew up with pets, so it's not something I'm really used to. Pets are definitely not a deal-breaker, but it's not something that I'm really for, either. One of my family members is allergic to cats, so that could potentially be an issue.
