Dear JDate,

Through JDate I reconnected with the boy I had a crush on when I was a little girl in Des Moines, Iowa. I admired him so much and thought he was the cat’s meow my whole life. I wanted to marry him since I was 10 years old. I followed my therapist’s advice and logged on to JDate, 13 years after my divorce. On the site, I made contact with a friend from Iowa, who passed on my old flame’s number. A week later, we met in an Indian restaurant in Studio City, CA. The old feelings came back. I said to him, “We’re in between spouses and jobs, what are we going to do?” He said, “I am going to eat dinner.” We ate dinner but I had a grander plan.

The following September we were married by a cantor in the presence of two of our children and three grandchildren.
