I had been on and off JDate for months at a time and found lots of very nice men, just not my Prince Charming. After about 50 wrong people, I met Seth. He lived in Manhattan and I lived across the river in Hoboken, New Jersey. He was willing to cross the water to come meet me for dinner. Our date lasted five hours and we had such a great time together. We talked a lot! We really had a connection from the first day.

It was my birthday three days before our first date, so Seth brought me a little Birthday Box that is an instant party (streamers, balloons, etc.). When I opened the gift at the end of our meal, Seth said to me that if we are still in each other’s lives a year from now, you will have the most special birthday ever. So, I thought it was very cute that he spoke of the future so quickly and I thought it was crazy how he went out of his way to get this thoughtful gift for someone he didn’t even know. So, we started to date exclusively and then seeing each other once a week turned into four times a week, which then turned into almost every day.

We really enjoyed being together and we missed each other when we were apart. On my Birthday the following year, Seth did make it my most special birthday ever! He surprised me with six dozen roses, all in different colors and he bought me a beautiful ring (not an engagement ring though). He really made sure to make my birthday feel special. Six more months went by and we fell more and more in love with each other with each day that passed.

In February, I had a business trip to Florida and I had plans to spend the next weekend with my younger sister who was going to college in Orlando. It was a Friday morning and she and I were in the car, driving to grandma’s house for Shabbat dinner, and all of a sudden, she pulls off at the airport exit! Within two minutes, she handed me an envelope with a note from Seth, my passport and a flight itinerary. I was off to Riviera Maya, Mexico where Seth was there waiting for me! When I arrived at the resort, he had an amazing and beautiful room all set up with roses, a bubble bath, lit candles and a heart made from towels on a canopy bed. Seth was nowhere to be found, but he left what was to be the first note directing me to the spa to get a full body massage. When I returned to the room, there was a second note directing me to the lobby for dinner. I got ready and came down to the lobby, but there was no Seth in sight. A man from the concierge approached me and asked me if I was Sarah. I answered him yes and he walked me along the beach to a beautiful, secluded area with a lit path bordered by fire torches and rose petals, which led to a table for two. At the table, there was a private harp player and in a white button-down shirt stood my soon-to-be fiancé, Seth. We had dinner and dessert on the beach and when we finished eating and catching up, Seth asked me if I wanted to take a walk! We took our shoes off and took a few steps to be alone and there he was standing on one knee with a beautiful diamond ring!

I have never been more happy and excited in my entire life! My fairy tale came true, I found my Prince Charming!
