If I didn’t know better, I’d assume Mark Zuckerberg was an evil genius that wanted to ruin dating forever. He claims he created Facebook so we could connect, but was his master plan to help us stalk significant others and poke our exes? If so, he has accomplished his (alleged) goal!
No respectable film-maker would record a Jewish wedding scene without including the dramatic moment of the breaking of the glass, followed by the joyous shouts of “Mazal Tov!” A moment of juxtaposition from sadness to joy, the breaking of the glass is most often explained as a means of remembering the destruction of the Temple.
I was basically about to give up hope, but I decided to plan one more weekend of two dates.
Sometimes, simple is the most sophisticated. For summer desserts, I am looking for fresh flavors, bright colors and less time in the kitchen. A sabayon is a French sauce (zabaglione for Italian version) of eggs, sugar and wine that is whisked to a frothy, creamy consistency. It is elegant spooned over fresh fruit or a simple pound cake. I like to pile the fruit into a beautiful wine glass and layer the fruit and sabayon. Serve immediately or chill for several hours.

The Book of Zephaniah dates from the reign of King Josiah of Judah.
