Marnie and Evan: “We thank JDate for creating a world where strangers can become best friends and share a life together.”

Submitted by

We met on JDate in May of 2005. I was huddled in my sorority house at Syracuse University and jokingly shopping for a summer boyfriend with my best friend. At the same time, Evan, a boy from South Jersey who recently moved to Hoboken, was looking to meet new people in the area (but secretly hoping to find his one true love)! Somewhere in cyber-world a shidduch was made.

Two weeks later we met for what would be the last first date for both of us. Within minutes, we realized our families have a past together that goes two generations back. His grandparents even had a picture of my grandparents in their house! What are the odds?! It’s called fate and we’re happy to report that we will be celebrating our first anniversary as husband and wife on December 10th.

We thank JDate for creating a world where strangers can become best friends and share a life together.
