Judges Announced! See Who Will Be Judging JDate’s Next Top Proposal!

Submitted by 2 Comments

JDate is proud to announce we’ve secured five of the country’s top dating and relationship experts to serve as judges for our new contest: JDate’s Next Top Proposal! The contest – which is in search of the most surprising or unique JDate marriage proposals – asks former JDaters® who met their fiancé or spouse on JDate to share their proposal videos via JDate’s Facebook page. The winning couple will be whisked away on a seven night all-inclusive stay at Breezes Bahamas. Hello, second honeymoon!

We’ve had some great submissions so far and can already tell the competition is going to be stiff! Good thing we’ve got five stellar relationship experts to weigh in on which submission will be JDate’s Next Top Proposal. Here’s a breakdown of the celebrity judges responsible for selecting JDate’s Next Top Proposal!

eFlirt Expert & Dating Coach

Laurie Davis is the founder and CEO of eFlirtexpert.com. She was nominated Best Dating Coach for the last two years in the iDate Awards and featured in over 300 international media outlets, including The New York Times, Good Morning America and Men’s Health. Her book, Love At First Click: The Ultimate Guide to Online Dating, was released this year by Atria Books. Laurie is also engaged to her tweetheart, Thomas Edwards, a man she eFlirted with in 140 characters on Twitter. Edwards also happens to be one of our judges!

Professional Wingman

Thomas Edwards became a professional wingman when a friend asked him to help him pursue a woman. The friend offered to pay for drinks that evening in exchange for Thomas’ help and soon after, a business was created. Thomas founded The Professional Wingman in March 2009 in Boston, Massachusetts. Since then, peers, colleagues and media have deemed him, the “Real-life Hitch.” Thomas has helped various clients find love, discover happiness in a new city, recover from a breakup, and even improve a current relationship. Oh, and did we mention he proved his skills by meeting and falling in love with his fiancée, eFlirt expert Laurie Davis? Well played Thomas!

Online Dating Expert

Julie Spira is an online dating expert, bestselling author, and a go-to woman for online dating advice. As a Los Angeles-based dating coach with clientele located around the world, she’s also the Publisher and Editor-in-Chief at CyberDatingExpert.com. Julie’s advice has reached millions and she’s been featured and quoted over 500 times in the media, including interviews with ABC, BBC, CBS, CNET, CNN, and way too many others to count!

Dating & Relationships Expert

Natasha Burton co-wrote the dating guide, The Little Black Book of Big Red Flags (Adams Media, June 2011) and co-founded the dating horror story blog called BigRedFlags.com. As a dating and relationships expert, she’s been featured on Playboy Radio, LA Talk Radio and Essence Online to name a few. When she’s not busy grilling her friends about the intimate details of their love lives, she’s working on her solo book project, watching The Biggest Loser, or judging fun contests like JDate’s Next Top Proposal!

JDate’s Community Manager

As JDate’s Community Manager, Rachel is the liaison to all things JDate! She can break down the rules of dating, share first date tips, and offer words of encouragement to JDaters when dating gets tough! Have a question about your JDate profile? She’d love to help. Want to know the best way to flirt with that cutie you’ve been watching? She’s your yenta! Suffering from dating burnout? Let her share some words of encouragement with you! She’s also viewed hundreds of proposal videos during her times at JDate and now has a keen awareness of what makes for a truly unique and surprising engagement video.
