My rabbi suggested I go on JDate. Accordingly, I went on JDate and on my first search I had over 300 “matches.”
It has been a wonderful whirlwind-relationship and we are ecstatic to have found our soul mates!
Thank you, JDate. I never thought I’d be writing this letter, but I have you to thank for making my last-first-date possible.
Without JDate, despite all the mutual friends we ended up having, our paths would never have crossed, and we are so thankful for the match JDate has created! We wish the best of luck to all those still searching.
Their story has even inspired Jen’s cousins to join JDate as she now knows two other JDate matches (one couple is now married and the other couple will be married in July of 2013).
My JDate success story is unlike any you’ve ever read before. Somewhere around 2000-2001, I had surgery and was stuck in bed for a few weeks. During that time, I discovered the JDate chat room. Up until then, I had met a couple of nice men through JDate, but not “The One.”
Kenny and Alissa have become best friends and are true soul mates. They complement each other and balance each other out. They have experienced so much together and all that matters to them is that they are beside each other during all of the good times — and the bad times. Together they have even creating a small vegan ice cream company called Alissa’s Treats!
Both of them feel so lucky to have had the opportunity to have met and fallen in love. It never would have happened if they hadn’t logged on to JDate all of those years ago. It’s worth taking the chance and seeing who is out there. You never know when you’re going to meet the love of your life.
Neither of us could have expected that an ambitious, career-focused woman would ask out a onesie-wearing “class clown” on a date, and that our date would end in the worst first and second kiss in JDate history, and that horrible mess would be the first date memory for a couple who goes on to get married! We’re just hoping we don’t screw up the kiss under the Chuppah.
After this, I definitely recommend JDate and have spoken to people about the importance of having an open mind, widening their search preferences and looking for more than a “hot” guy in their matches. Sometimes people look better in person than in their picture!
