Ann Arbor, MI - Purim Food Basket Project
In preparation for Purim, volunteers gathered for an afternoon of socializing and service through the Jewish Federation’s Young Adult Division and Jewish Family Services of Ann Arbor. Participants enjoyed the opportunity to meet new people as they gave back to the community by assembling mishloach manot (food baskets) and painting the classrooms of the JCC. Food baskets were delivered to hundreds of Jewish seniors in Ann Arbor. The event attracted people of all ages, thereby helping to build a community across multiple generations of socially conscious Jews in Ann Arbor.
