JDaters Vote Larry David “2007 Person of the Year”
Online Daters Can’t Curb Their Enthusiasm for the Jewish Comedian
Beverly Hills, Calif., December 12, 2007 – There’s just something about Larry according to members of JDate, the premier online dating community for Jewish singles. When asked to name their favorite Jewish person of 2007, JDaters selected the famed “Curb Your Enthusiasm” actor and writer for his ability to seamlessly and consistently integrate Jewish humor into his show.
Coming in close behind Larry David were comedienne Sarah Silverman and breakout star Seth Rogen of “Knocked Up” fame, followed by Mayor Michael Bloomberg, Senator Barbara Boxer, talk show host Donny Deutsch, “High School Musical” sweetheart Ashley Tisdale, and Senator Arlen Specter.
“My only condition in accepting this award is that I don’t have to go on a date,”said Larry David upon learning of his newly crowned title.
In honor of David’s passion for saving the planet, JDate has pledged a corporate donation of $2,500 to his charity and environmental cause, the Waterkeeper Alliance, which is dedicated to preserving and protecting water from polluters. More information on the grassroots advocacy organization can be found at www.waterkeeper.org. David was also presented with what else – but, a free JDate membership!
“It’s no surprise to us that Larry was chosen as the 2007 Jewish Person of the Year,” said Greg Liberman, president and chief operating officer of Spark Networks, JDate’s owner and operator. “JDaters think Larry is ‘pretty, pretty’ funny!”
