Jdate Success Story Terms

By using the Jdate Success Stories site in any way, or by submitting your own Success Story, you acknowledge that your use or submission is governed by these Jdate Success Story Terms, as well as Jdate’s Terms of Service as provided by Smooch Labs.

1. Users of the Jdate Success Stories Site

Couples who met on Jdate can use the Success Stories site to share their dating success story and photos. A success story submitter must be or must have been a registered Jdate Member.

The Success Stories site is a publicly available website. Couples who submit content to the Success Stories site acknowledge that such content may be viewed by the public (including the media).

2. Submission of Success Stories and Photos

To submit a success story to the Success Stories site, you must provide (i) certain identifying and contact information and certain information about your relationship (for example, the date you met) and (ii) your success story and a photo of yourselves (collectively, your “Success Profile”). By submitting content to the Success Stories site, you agree and represent that (a) Smooch Labs may use all, part or none of your content for an Jdate Success Story, (b) both members of the couple have agreed to these Terms, (c) both members of the couple have agreed to make their story public, (d) all information and materials submitted are true and accurate and (e) the submission does not conflict with any obligation or restriction you or the other member of the couple may have. By submitting your Success Story you automatically grant, and you represent and warrant that you have the right to grant, to Smooch Labs, its affiliates, licensees and successors an irrevocable, perpetual, non-exclusive, fully paid, worldwide right and license to use, copy, publicly perform, publicly display, reproduce, adapt, modify and distribute such Success Story and to prepare derivative works of, or incorporate into other works, such Success Story, and to grant and authorize sublicenses of the foregoing in any medium.

3. Smooch Labs’ Use of Your Success Story

By submitting your Success Story, each member of the couple gives Smooch Labs the unlimited right and permission to use your Success Story, or any parts thereof, including without limitation, (i) on the Success Stories site, (ii) elsewhere on Smooch Labs’ sites and services (including on Smooch Labs’ Facebook fan page, Instagram, YouTube page and any other similar sites) and (iii) in advertising or promotional materials for Smooch Labs’ products or services. Additionally Smooch Labs may transfer Your Success Story, or parts thereof, as necessary to effect the uses described in (i), (ii) or (iii) of this section. Smooch Labs may use your Success Story in perpetuity, but is not required to use it, or any part of it. Content submitted to the Success Stories site and posted by Smooch Labs will remain available on the Success Stories site until Smooch Labs removes such content or discontinues the Success Stories site. Smooch Labs reserves the right to discontinue the Success Stories site at any time. Smooch Labs may make changes to your Success Story.
